Automation Test Engineer (2–4 Years Experience)

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to understand requirements and define test strategies.
• Execute automated and manual test cases to ensure product quality.
• Identify, log, and track defects using defect management tools.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to automation framework improvements.
• Perform regression, functional, integration, and system testing.
• Ensure test coverage and maintain test documentation.
• Work in Agile/Scrum teams and participate in sprint ceremonies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in software testing with a focus on automation.
• Strong knowledge of automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Java / Python / JavaScript.
• Experience with test frameworks like TestNG / JUnit / Mocha.
• Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with API testing tools (Postman / REST Assured).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins / GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps).
• Experience in version control systems like Git.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of performance testing tools
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure) is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of database testing (SQL queries).
• Experience in BI/Data Analytics testing is a plus.
