About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Product Tester to join our growing team. In this role, you will leverage your financial or Business Intelligence (BI) background to design, execute, and document system testing activities for applications critical to our financial operations and data analysis. You will partner closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure that our systems meet functional and non-functional requirements.


Responsibilities

  • Analyze system requirements documents (SRS), user stories, and other specifications to develop comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Design and execute various types of system testing, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Utilize your financial/BI expertise to identify and test scenarios specific to financial data processing and analysis.
  • Identify, document, and report defects using a bug tracking system.
  • Work collaboratively with developers to resolve defects and ensure timely fixes.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback from a testing perspective.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry best practices for software testing methodologies and tools.
  • May participate in automation of test cases using scripting languages or testing frameworks (a plus).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in system testing, with a focus on financial or BI applications preferred.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, particularly Agile methodologies (a plus).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a passion for quality assurance.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with testing tools (e.g., JIRA, Selenium) is a plus.
  • Experience with SQL queries for data manipulation (a plus).
