Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative Technical Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology and an ability to translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation. You will work closely with our development, product management, and marketing teams to create a variety of content, including user manuals, technical guides, release notes, and product documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Documentation Creation: Write, edit, and maintain high-quality documentation for our BI & Analytics products, including user manuals, technical guides, API documentation, and release notes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, developers, and designers to understand product features and technical details, ensuring accurate and comprehensive documentation.
- Content Development: Develop content for online help systems, knowledge bases, and other customer-facing documentation.
- Review & Editing: Review and edit content created by other team members to ensure clarity, consistency, and accuracy.
- User-Focused Writing: Ensure that all documentation is user-friendly and tailored to the target audience, whether it’s end-users, system administrators, or developers.
- Version Control: Maintain version control of documentation and ensure timely updates as new features and products are released.
- Tools & Technology: Utilize industry-standard tools for content creation, version control, and publishing, and stay up-to-date with the latest trends in technical writing and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in the software or technology industry.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of technical concepts, particularly in BI & Analytics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in technical writing tools (e.g., MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, Microsoft Word).
- Ability to write in a clear, concise, and engaging manner.
- Familiarity with version control systems and content management systems.
- Attention to detail and a passion for quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
