Position Overview
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer specializing in Go (Golang) to join our talented product engineering team. As a Senior Engineer, you will design and develop high-performance backend systems, APIs, and microservices. This is a full-time, in-office role based in Plano, TX, ideal for someone passionate about creating world-class backend solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Go (Golang).
- Build robust, secure, and scalable APIs and microservices.
- Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and QA teams to deliver seamless product experiences.
- Ensure code quality, reliability, and security through best coding practices and peer code reviews.
- Optimize backend systems for high availability and low latency.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues promptly.
- Contribute to system architecture and technical decision-making processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of backend development experience, with a minimum of 2 years using Go professionally.
- Strong understanding of RESTful services, Microservices Architecture, and Concurrent Programming in Go.
- Hands-on experience with databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for building scalable software systems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar).
- Experience working in a product-centric or SaaS environment.
- Knowledge of system monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
